UNSIGNED (American, 20th Century) TWO WORKS: THE RED BOATHOUSES AND INLET SUNSET. 1) Oil on canvas coastal scene shows several sailboats moored in calm water with a set of three red boathouses at edge of shoreline. A town street is seen just above grass lawn that extends to the water. All under blue and white cloud sky. Probably a central Maine coastal scene. There is a pencil inscription which is illegible on the stretcher. Housed in an antique oak stained frame. 2) Oil on paper shows a lobster shack with house at edge of water, reminiscent of one of the Maine inlets. Housed in an modern wood frame. SIZE: 1) 12″ x 15″. 2) Sight: 10″ x 13-1/2″. PROVENANCE: Richard Paine Estate, Seal Cove, Maine. CONDITION: 1) Very good. 2) Poor. 9-92450, 9-92394 (100-200)
