FINE MARQUETRY STATIONERY/CUTLERY BOX. Second half 18th century. The hinged sloping lid inlaid with putti holding floral sprays. The serpentine front inlaid with a floral arrangement within a basket. The interior fitted with old, if not original, deep indigo, velvet, compartmented section. SIZE: 12-1/2″ h x 9-1/4″ w x 8″ d. CONDITION: Generally very good with normal and expected shrinkage cracks to veneers. Inlays generally intact and/or restored. 9-25987 (600-900)
