PENNSYLVANIA CHIPPENDALE WALNUT TALL CHEST OF DRAWERS. Second half 18th century. The rectangular dovetailed case with cove-molded cornice fitted with three short drawers above a pair of drawers above four long drawers, all with thumb-molded edges flanked by engaged fluted quarter columns on a molded base raised on ogee bracket feet with shaped returns. SIZE: 65″ h. 44″ w overall. 40″ case w. 22″ d. CONDITION: Surfaces cleaned and repolished. Hardware is of the period, but not original. Backboards original with square nails. Minor repairs to some drawer edges. Generally very good. 9-29622 (4,500-7,500)
