SIGNED (Mid 19th Century) THE SPANIELS DOMAIN. Oval oil on canvas interior scene shows a rust and white colored dog laying attentively on a red ottoman. A paneled wall background and colorful carpet below. The oil on canvas painted in oval and tacked to a pine board. Back having signature and dated “1865”. Housed in an antique oval gesso decorated frame. SIZE: 8″ x 10″. PROVENANCE: Richard Paine Estate, Seal Cove, Maine. CONDITION: Very good, light scratch on upper right. 9-92418 (600-800)
