*FINE WINCHESTER LO-WALL SPORTING RIFLE. SN 96924. Cal. 22 WCF. All blue finish with 26″ No. 1 weight oct bbl, half nickel front sight with screw and semi-buckhorn rear sight. It has standard 2-line markings on top flat of bbl, forward of the rear sight and caliber marking over the chamber area. Bottom tang has the “1879” patent date & SN. Mounted with straight grain, uncheckered American walnut with black insert schnable tip forearm and straight stock with crescent steel buttplate. While standard grade Lo-Wall rifles are frequently encountered they are rarely ever found in orig high finish. CONDITION: Extremely fine plus. Overall retains about all of its crisp orig factory finish with only faint sharp edge wear on the bbl and receiver with a few tiny scattered spots of discoloration. Lever, breech block & hammer retain virtually all of their orig case colors turned slightly dark. Buttplate retains smoky case colors turned dark on the tang. Wood is sound with a very few scattered, insignificant handling & storage mars in the finish and overall retains about all of its crisp orig factory finish.
