AMERICAN CARVED AND DECORATED EAGLE PLAQUE BY C. H. BADGER, 1898. The displayed eagle with American shield and talons above a pair of crossed American flags, the whole gilt and polychrome paint decorated, carved from the solid. Finely executed in the manner of John H. Bellamy. SIZE: 5″ x 17-1/2″. PROVENANCE: Richard Paine Estate, Seal Cove, ME. CONDITION: Overall very fine condition with some later re-gilding and minor paint splatters. Structurally very good with some original reinforcing to flag standards. “C. H.
