JOHN WALTER SCOTT (American, 1907-1987) FLY FISHING THE LILY PADS. Gouache 1950’s fishing scene shows a gentleman angler standing in a small motorboat being guided by his well dressed guide who handles the motor. The fly has landed amongst the pond lilies and the backdrop is a cultivated hillside with castle and houses. Signed lower right. Housed in a wood molded frame with double mattes.
