LOT OF TWO COLT PERCUSSION REVOLVERS. (1) Cal. 31. SN 72697. Early 1849 pocket model with 5″ bbl, brass grip frame and 1-pc wood grips. 5-shot cylinder, 2-line New York address. CONDITION: Fair, no orig finish, worn with overall gray patina & moderate rust. All matching except the cylinder pin. Good mechanics, strong dark bore. (2) Cal. 36. SN 8755. ’51 Navy parts gun with bbl cut to 6-1/4″, 1-line Hartford address, complete mismatch with the bbl numbered “75777”, the frame restamped “8755”, the trigger guard “85900” and the backstrap “9523”. The cylinder is unnumbered. 1-pc walnut grips. CONDITION: Mechanics are loose, strong dark bore. From the collection of the late Bruce McDowell. 4-54662 JR282 (400-700)
