GALLE ENAMELED CRUET. Exceptional early Galle cruet is done in deep amber glass with colorful enamel floral decoration surrounding the shoulder and body. The cruet is further decorated with applied rigaree at the bottom of the cruet, three applied ribbed loops around the shoulder; each holding a bronze coin with Arabic design. Cruet is finished with an applied ribbed handle and faceted stopper. Signed on the underside with etched signature “E. Galle”. SIZE: 8-1/4″ t. PROVENANCE: From the Private Collection of Dorothy Lee Jones. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with a tiny bruise on underside of foot. 5-61783 (1,000-1,500)
