GEORGE III MAHOGANY TILT TOP TEA TABLE. Last quarter 18th century. Circular single board figural top with scalloped edge hinged on a birdcage support swiveling on a ring turned spiral twist urn-form pedestal raised on a tripod cabriole leg base, the legs with scrolled foliate carving, terminating in slender ball and talon feet. SIZE: 27-1/2″ h x 25-1/4″ d. PROVENANCE: Woolworth Collection (F.W. Woolworth Dept. Store). CONDITION: With nice old color and good patina. The top repolished. The base with old surfaces. No breaks or restoration noted. Very good overall. 9-21283 (800-1,200)
