Most likely a Catskills or Hudson River Valley scene, probably from the 1880’s or 1890’s. Signed “E. L. Field” lower right. Housed in a reproduction antique-style gilt gesso frame. Ex the Estate of E. L. Field, (Tovar collection number 20). Field studied in France under Carolus-Duran.
