EARLY GALLE ENAMELED VASE. Truly outstanding early Galle vase is blown in crackle glass and is enameled with shaded brown leaves and stems extending from the foot up the neck. Vase is further decorated with an enameled and gilded bumblebee, enameled and gilded grasshopper and an enamel and gilded crayfish. Vase is finished with two applied stylized snake handles. Signed on the underside in red enamel “E. Galle Nancy”. SIZE: 8″ t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with some light staining to the interior. 5-62619 (1,500-2,000)
