GEORGIAN STYLE FIGURED WALNUT GAMES TABLE. Second half 19th century, England. The rectangular hinged top with turret corners, bookend veneers and crossbanded edges opening to a surface covered with petit point tapestry with scrolling floral borders centering a pale blue field wrought with four hands of simulated playing cards. Each corner with circular well. The conforming frieze raised on four cabriole legs, the rear legs with accordion action to support the top. Each terminating in triangular spade feet. SIZE: 28-1/2″ h x 36″ l x 18″ d. PROVENANCE: From a fine Augusta, Maine estate. CONDITION: Very good overall with original surfaces. Normal and expected wear to feet. 9-29185 (1,000-2,000)
