MORGAN ANTIQUE LEADED LAMP. Commonly referred to as the grape lamp, this shade offers so much more with its floral designs, variegated leaves and grapes. Morgan was unique in that they use chunk jewels of glass, raised glass and then striated and mottled glass which was more of the normal for the time period. This irregular border shade has vibrant colors of red, purples, pinks and yellows against a soft green and cream ground. The shade is supported by an equally rare decorated base with applied tendrils on the center shaft above an inverted saucer foot. The lamp is finished with two sockets, pull chains and finial. SIZE: Shade is 16″ dia. Overall 23″ t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with tight hairlines commensurate with age. Base is very good to excellent. 5-66096 (6,000-8,000)
