CHI CHI ORIENTAL RUG. First quarter 20th century, East Caucasus. Woven with two rows of lozenges with serrated edges alternating with three rows of lesser lozenges. Signed and dated at end of central panel. All within an ivory main border of polychrome geometric devices within indigo and black crenelated guard borders. SIZE: 4′ 1″ x 5′ 10″. CONDITION: Ends with some losses. With overall wear to some areas of foundation. Generally good. 9-27228 (1,500-2,000)
