DECORATED BUFFALO ROBE. The post-1900 large hide decorated with 18 colorful scenes depicting Native Americans with horses, weapons, and pageantry. The naive scenes include show the Native Americans in colorful costume including head dresses and a myriad of weapons including tomahawk, spear, handgun, and bow & arrow. Possibly by the Ojibwe Indians or possibly a hobbyist group who did re-enactments. A wonderful decorated robe in the style of early Native American decorated buffalo robes. SIZE: 79″ x 77″. CONDITION: Some splits at center, edges with some small tears, generally in good condition. 9-24804 (2,500-4,000)
