FULL BODIED COPPER PIG WEATHERVANE. Late 19th- early 20th century, probably E.G. Washburne & Company, New York. This nice example with tightly curved tail and upturned snout with gilded surfaces. For a nearly identical example, reference “Copper Weathervanes”, manufactured by E.G. Washburne & Company, see page 19 in illustrated catalog of same. Also see the book “Weathervanes” by Charles Klamkin, page 118. Now offered on a museum stand. SIZE: 15-3/4″ h x 29-1/2″ l. CONDITION: Small, tight crease top of proper right hind quarter.
