CARVED AND PAINTED FOLK ART LION. First half 19th century, probably Pennsylvania. Depicting a recumbent lion with full mane and semi-open mouth. SIZE: 3-3/4″ h x 6-1/4″ l. CONDITION: Paint abraded on nose, tips of ears and ends of plinth. Structurally very good. Painted surfaces are old. 9-25563 (1,000-2,000)
