18TH CENTURY ENGLISH STERLING SILVER TEA URN. The three-part urn having cover, kettle and base. Hallmarked “London 1771/2” with maker’s mark “RM & BS”. Cover having an ivory & silver final; the kettle section having an armorial crest with flower wreath surrounding a shield with half band of three unicorns, the other with three bells. The egg shaped kettle having applied garland of bell flowers and two undulating handles. A well formed spigot with T-shaped ivory handle; the base with circular top holder for weight which is present. Having a reticulated oval band ending in four ball & claw feet. WEIGHT: 80 tr. oz.
