LARGE FULL BODY “ETHAN ALLEN AND WAGON” WEATHERVANE. Late 19th century. Attributed to J. Harris & Son, Boston, Massachusetts. Nicely rendered with excellent detail. The rider with peaked cap and mustache, legs extended, feet resting on the tongue of the wagon, hands attached to wire reins. The surface is a pleasing mustard color. Offered on a museum mount. SIZE: 19-1/2″h x 47″l. PROVENANCE: From a private Maine collection. CONDITION: Old, professional bullet hole repairs and to seams in area of head. Now structurally very good. 9-24702 (8,000-12,000)
