LOT OF APPROX. 26 MISCELLANEOUS BADGES. Mostly police with one fire badge and one brothel inspector badge and four humorous badges. One of the badges, a 6-pointed star, 2-3/4″ diameter, with a galloping horse in the middle, gold washed, marked “SHERIFF’S POSSE / FRESNO COUNTY / 12″ is accompanied by an 8″ x 10” framed photograph inscribed on the back, “Charles Hadd Jamison”. The image is of a middle-aged man on a palomino horse wearing what appears to be, this badge. Consignor states that this in fact was his badge. CONDITION: Mostly fine. Some lightly tarnished, none have been authenticated. From the collection of the late Bruce McDowell. 4-54836 JR373 (300-500)
