HARRY A. NEYLAND (American, 1877-1958) “QUILLER COUCH BIRTHPLACE, CORNWALL, ENGLAND”. Oil on canvas scene shows an alleyway between stone buildings with large green hill and trees beyond. Three people walk in alleyway. Signed lower right “Harry Neyland” and titled in pencil on reverse of stretcher. Housed in a vine decorated gesso gold frame. Sir Arthur Quiller Couch was a literary figure in England with the pseudonym “Q”. SIZE: 27” x 21”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-71395 (2,000-3,000)
