WILLIAM KEITH (American, 1838-1911) WESTERN LANDSCAPE. Oil on canvas western landscape scene shows a lake nestled with surrounding mountains. The foreground is rocky ledges with small stream. The background with distant mountains under white, gray, cloud and blue sky. Signed lower right “W Keith”. On reverse of frame is a San Francisco Museum of Art label indicating this was lent in 1938 by Mr. & Mrs. A. L. Johnston Jr. for the William Keith Exhibition. Housed in a magnificent period and probably original frame. SIZE: 18″ x 22″. PROVENANCE: From the Estate of Geraldine Gaba, Scottsdale, AZ. CONDITION: Craquelure, 9-94821 (10,000-15,000)
