BESSIE K. HOWARD (American, 1872-1960) SUMMER ON THE TIDAL FLATS. Oil on canvas scene shows a roadway leading to a bridge with a small boat and men fishing. Two cows lie on the grassy banks and low hills with grass and small trees. Signed lower right “B K Howard”. Housed in a good replacement gilt molded wood frame. It appears that the canvas was relined with another painting. That painting shows on the back side of the stretcher and is a summer landscape with cows, unsigned. SIZE: 26” x 34”. CONDITION: Restored with inpainting, very good. 9-72011 (1,000-2,000)
