STEUBEN PRESENTATION SCULPTURE. Exceptionally fine Steuben crystal sculpture entitled “Cathedral” by George Thompson 1955 is triangular form in the shape of a tall cathedral. Carved into each of the three sides is a wonderfully detailed robed man standing atop a column. The columns continue upward and again support a carved figure, this time of a robed woman. The wonderful carving and etching on each of the three sides gives the sculpture an outstanding three dimensional effect. Signed on the bottom in script “Steuben”. The piece is housed in its original presentation box with red leather exterior and red velvet and satin interior.
