FINE THREE DRAWER TIGER MAPLE CHIPPENDALE CHEST. Strong tiger maple case with pine top with slight overhang. Base is entirely of tiger maple and drawer fronts in matched strong tiger maple. Replaced old hardware having oval back, bale handle and bust of George Washington. There is a central hole where round knob used to be. PROVENANCE: From a central Maine home. SIZE: 36” h x case 38” w x 19” d. CONDITION: Some old repairs including drawer runners, side of bracket foot and small patches to drawer fronts. Top has scrapes. Refinished but having a wonderful mellow patina. 9-26015 (1,500-2,500)
