Outstanding oil on canvas still life shows blue iris and green leaves in a tall angular glass vase set on a white tabletop with paneled background. Signed left side “Bernard Buffet” and dated on right side “1977”. Housed in a gilt and black painted molded wood frame. Title is found on center stretcher in pencil. Also known as “Fleurs”. A label from the Galerie de La Presidence, Paris plus an Art Transit label from Paris are found on frame. PROVENANCE: A copy of the original receipt from the Galerie de La Presidence, Paris dated 1979 accompanies this lot along with the shipping and customs paperwork. SIZE: 25-3/4” x 20”.
