AMERICAN CLASSICAL CARVED FIGURAL MAHOGANY SOFA. Circa 1820. The barrel crest rail with reeded rosette terminals above the rectangular padded back joined to outscrolled arms with acanthus-carved supports and floral rosettes continuing to the figured mahogany seat rail having rectangular panels, raised on hairy paw feet with cornucopia carved returns. SIZE: 32″ h. of back x 90″ l. CONDITION: Professionally refinished and restored, covered in a silk fabric. Repaired break to both arm supports. 9-91317 (800-1,200)
