PAIR OF CARVED WOODEN POLYCHROME PAINTED ORIENTAL STATUES OF WARRIORS, MID 20TH CENTURY. Each figure in a fighting pose, hair tied in a top-knot, wearing a gilt necklace, bracelets, and anklets, wearing a silvered tunic. Both encircled in a flowing scarf decorated with gilded cloud bands standing barefoot on rocky plinths mounted on an associated rectangular stand. SIZE: 26”h of statues. CONDITION: One warrior missing weapon in left hand, rocky plinths with paint scuffing, otherwise very good overall. 9-74621 MD (1,500-2,000)
