*WESTLEY RICHARDS DROP LOCK DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN G3579. Fine rounded action Westley with 29-1/8″ bbls choked FULL (.020)/IMP-MOD (.011). The bbls have a smooth tapered concave rib with single brass bead and the maker’s name & address on top. They have dbl lump with doll’s head extension third bite. It is fitted with single selective trigger and ejectors. The bbls are Nitro-proofed for 1-1/4 oz. loads. The boxlock receiver has the maker’s name in a ribbon on each side and again on the bottom plus the inscription “Patent One Trigger”. The receiver, opening lever, top tang, trigger guard and forend iron are beautifully engraved with intertwined foliate arabesque patterns in about 85% coverage. It is mounted in nicely figured English walnut with long checkered beavertail forearm and stock with Prince of Wales grip, 14-1/2″ over a checkered butt. Drop at heel 2”, drop at comb 1-1/4”. Weight 7 lbs, 13.6 oz. CONDITION: Very fine, retains virtually all of an extremely fine professionally restored finish to both metal & wood. The bbls have a lovely rust blue and the receiver fine subtle English style case colors. The opening lever is a little loose on the pivot, but functions perfectly.
