*CASED VOUZELAUD DBL BBL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 ga. SN GP1915. Fine French made shotgun with 30” bbls choked MOD/IMP-CYL with smooth, tapered, concave rib & sgl brass bead. It has ejectors, third fastener, sleeved dbl chopper lumps & dbl triggers. Fitted with very highly figured French walnut with extremely fine, checkered, splinter forearm & straight stock with raised teardrop side panels, 14-1/4” over an equally fine checkered butt. Bottom of stock has a blank silver oval initial plate. Receiver is coin finished with full 7-pin sidelocks with light border decorations & a wonderfully engraved goose on bottom. Trigger bow is engraved with a large “V” & light arabesque patterns. Fences have a fine rib around rear edges & maker’s name is on water table. Accompanied by its orig, green felt lined, leather trunk case, compartmented for the entire shotgun with a covered compartment containing cleaning bits & wiping cloths. It also has its orig felt sleeves & maker’s label inside lid along with maker’s specification sheet. Consignor is daughter of the manufacturer. Bore diameter: left – .724, right – .724. Bore restrictions: left – .013, right – .005. Wall thickness: left – .040, right – .036. Drop at heel: 2-7/8”, drop at comb: 1-1/8”. Weight: 7 lbs .96 oz. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, as new, appears to be unfired. Retains virtually all of its orig factory finish to both metal & wood. Mechanics are crisp, bright shiny bores.
