Spectacular & rare modern over/under with 28” superposed bbls choked FULL/IMP-MOD, a raised, flat, matted rib with brass bead, ejectors & sgl non-selective trigger. Mounted with exceptional figured honey & chocolate Circassian walnut with diamond checkered beavertail forearm & straight stock with raised teardrop side panels, 14-7/8” over a leather covered pad. Top bbl has “A. GALAZAN” in gold on left sideplates & the company name & address in gold on right side. Bbl flat is engraved with serial number & “20 GAUGE – 2-3/4 IN”. Sidelock receiver, built without exposed screws has about 80% coverage, extremely fine & tight, English style, foliate arabesque engraving & is signed on trigger plate “A. TUSCANO, ENG.” It has “GALAZAN” in gold on both sides. Trigger guard, for left hand shooter is engraved to match with initials “JEF” in gold & serial number in gold on tang. Drop at heel: 2”, drop at comb: 1-1/2”. Bore restrictions: top – .031, bottom – .027. Wall thickness: top – .033, bottom – .032. Bore diameter: top – .623, bottom – .622. Weight: 7 lbs. 2.24 oz. Accompanied by its orig canvas & leather Connecticut Shotgun Co. green felt lined trunk case compartmented for shotgun & bbls with other empty compartments. CONDITION: Extremely fine, as new, has been fired but very little. Bbls retain all of their orig bright blue with some slight wear under forearm. Receiver & lockplates retain virtually all of the brilliant orig case colors. Wood is sound & shows very slight sharp edge wear around teardrops with a minor tiny handling mark or two & retains virtually all of its brilliant orig factory finish.
