*WINCHESTER MODEL 21 FIELD GRADE DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN 2-BBL SET. Cal. 20 ga. SN 12156. Fine field grade double with 26” bbls (#1) choked FULL/CYL and 26” bbls (#2) choked FULL/MOD. Bbls #1 were orig choked FULL/IMP-MOD but were apparently returned to factory & modified to CYL on right bbl. Both bbls have tapered, concave, matted ribs with dbl beads, ejectors & receiver has sgl selective trigger. Mounted with straight grain, American walnut with early style, kidney checkered, beavertail forearm & pistol grip stock, 13-1/4” over solid red Winchester pad. #1 Bbls: Bore diameter: left – .615, right – .617. Bore restrictions: left – .019, right – .000. Wall thickness: left – .032, right – .029. #2 Bbls: Bore diameter: left – .613, right – .614. Bore restrictions: left – .018, right – .010. Wall thickness: left – .030, right – .028. Drop at heel: 2-1/2”, drop at comb: 1-5/8”. Weight with #1 Bbls: 6 lbs. 7.68 oz. CONDITION: Fine. Bbls #1 retain about 90% strong orig blue with a few light scrapes & some nicks over right chamber area, bright shiny bores. Bbls #2 retain about 85% orig blue, thin around muzzles & on both sides over chamber areas with a few spots of light rust, bright shiny bores. Receiver retains about 70% orig blue; thin around edges & on bottom. Wood is sound with numerous light nicks & scratches showing moderate to heavy wear & retains 80-85% orig varnish.
