*RARE WINCHESTER MODEL 21 4-BARREL SET. Cal. 28 ga, 20 ga., 410. SN 30865. Skeet grade 21 with four sets of bbls: 26” – 410 bbls choked MOD/IMP-CYL; 26” – 28 ga. bbls choked SKEET/SKEET that actually gauge MOD/MOD; 28” 20 ga. bbls choked WS1/WS2; & 30” 20 ga. bbls choked with 3” chambers choked FULL/FULL. All four sets of bbls have tapered concave matted ribs with a variety of beads, two of which have silver center beads. All have ejectors & it has sgl selective trigger. The 410 bbls have a standard checkered splinter forearm & there is a deluxe checkered beavertail forearm for the other three bbls. Mounted with center, feather crotch cut, American walnut with straight stock, 13-9/16” over leather faced pad. Floorplate is marked “SKEET” & trigger guard has gold initials “RSH”. The 410 bbls have lightning cuts in the bbl flats. Unable to gauge the 410 & 28 ga. bbls for bore diameter, bore restrictions & wall thickness. Drop at heel: 1-15/16”, drop at comb: 1-3/8”. 20 ga. bbls: Bore restrictions: left – .012, right – .003. Wall thickness: left – .026, right – 024. Bore diameter: left – .612, right – .613. 30” bbls. Bore restrictions: left – .022, right – .022. Wall thickness: left – .024, right – .032. Bore diameter: left – .613, right – .613. Weight with 28” – 20 ga. bbls: 6 lbs. 11.2 oz. Accompanied by a green felt lined H&M leather trunk case with zipper canvas cover compartmented for stocked receiver & two sets of bbls. Also accompanied by a Cody Firearms Museum letter showing final inspection on March 25, 1957. The 410 bbls were added in April 1965. Initial information does not mention 28ga. bbls. CONDITION: Very fine to extremely fine. All bbls retain virtually all of their orig factory blue showing little or no wear. Receiver, forend iron & trigger guard retain virtually all of their bright orig factory finish. Wood is sound with a few light nicks, dings & scratches on buttstock & beavertail forearm with, what appears to be, some slight chemical stripping of finish of bottom 1/2” & retain most of their orig factory finish. Standard forearm retains virtually all of its orig finish. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bores. Case exterior is fine with some corner wear from zipper. Interior has wear in lid with moderate fading. 4-58865 (20,000-30,000)
