STERLING LIGHTHOUSE TEAPOT HORSE RACING TROPHY. Tall lighthouse form teapot has ebony wood handle, domed hinged lid with turned knop. Bottom marked “Reproduction sterling 3100 48 oz.” and company monogram “CR”. Inscription as follows: “New York Racing Association The Woodward Aqueduct 1964 Won by Gedney Farms’ Gun Bow Trainer: W. A. Neloy”. Gun Bow was a Bay Colt foaled in 1960 by Gun Shot-Robbons and Bows, by triple crown winner War Admiral. An impressive 42 starts having 17 wins for a total earned of $798,722. The Woodward was a 1-1/4 mile race and in this race Gun Bow beat Kelso. Gun Bow is also in the Horse Racing Hall of Fame. WEIGHT: Including handle is 32 tr. oz. SIZE: 12-1/2” h.
