GAETANO ESPOSITO (Italian, 1858-1911) “SORRENTO”, ITALY. Oil on canvas scene shows road with rock wall high above water. Man with donkey and woman with sticks coming down road. Large city nestled along water below tall mountains. Signed lower right “G. Esposito Sorrento”. Housed in a gold painted carved wood frame. SIZE: 22” x 27”. CONDITION: Canvas appears to have been rolled at one time and has been stretched on a newer stretcher, but old. Discolored varnish, some creases where it was rolled. Otherwise good. 9-94122 (400-600)
