*RARE COLT MODEL 1908 GENERAL OFFICER’S PISTOL. Cal. 380 ACP. SN 136332. Blued finish with 3-3/4” bbl, full-checkered walnut grips with silver medallions and full blue magazine, caliber marked on the base. It has “U.S. Property” on the right side of the frame and a tiny ordnance wheel at the left rear edge of the frame. The ordnance wheel was lightly struck and is only partially visible. Accompanied by an original brown Rock Island general officer’s belt holster with brass rivets and a brass snap. There is a note attached that apparently Mr. Owens purchased this from a Gen. Ray, who thinks he may have bought it from a Gen. Greeley of Greeley, CO. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Retains 96-97% plus, strong bright original blue with faint edge wear and a few small, scattered spots of rust by the left side of the muzzle. Grips are crisp, mechanics are fine, and brilliant shiny bore. Holster is scuffed but fine. 4-53161 JR538 (1,500-2,500)
