*MAUSER KK-WEHRSPORTGEWEHR TRAINING RIFLE. Cal. 22 LR. SN 4934. Beautiful pre-war single shot training rifle that duplicates the size and feel of the 98 Mauser. It has a 26” rnd bbl with hooded front sight, bayonet lug and sling loops with 200-meter Military rear sight. It has had a Lyman receiver sight added to the right side, which required notching the stock. It has eagle “N” proofs. The buttplate is beautifully engraved with a buck deer and foliate patterns with punch dot background. Underneath the buttplate, the buttstock has 2 large holes that have been filled with lead. CONDITION: As noted, extremely fine. All matching. Retains virtually all its original factory finish with a gouge in the forestock and some soiling to the buttstock.
