A BENCHMADE CHIPPENDALE STYLE CARVED MAHOGANY CORNER CHAIR. Early 20th century. The rolled pillow crest continuing to curved and molded arms with outscrolled terminals raised on ring-turned supports centering the pierced, carved, interwoven, and scrolled vasiform splats above the bowed and serpentine seat rail raised on a frontal acanthus-carved cabriole leg on ball and claw foot, and three tapered cylindrical legs ending in suppressed ball feet. SIZE: 32″ h. of back x 17-1/4″ h. of seat. CONDITION: Overall very fine with good color and patina. 9-92102 (800-1,200)
