FINE LOT OF SIX ECCLESIASTICAL CHALICE’S AND CIBORIUM’S. The lot consists of: 1) 8-1/2” h x 5-1/2” at base covered chalice in solid silver marked “Made in France Amedee Cateland Orf Successeur D’Armand Calliat Lyon”. Chalice is French hallmarked on the rim with the obus mark having maker’s initials “AC” and fineness “950”. Art Deco chalice has decorative stem and bottom to bowl, central ring set with two diamonds. Cover having a circle cross having a central diamond. Gold wash on bottom and marked “8092”. Base has Latin inscription surrounding the top of the base (and the word became flesh and dwelt among us). WEIGHT: 20 tr. oz. 2) 6-3/4” h matching deco chalice with no cover having similar design but having a cross on the base adorned with four small diamonds and the base having two large diamond type stones that do not test as diamonds at beginning and end of Latin phrase (and for them I sanctify myself that they also may be sanctified). Bottom marked “8071”. Comes with small 5-1/2” dia gold wash sterling plate and comes with leather bound black case. WEIGHT: 21 tr. oz. 3) 4-1/4” h x 4-3/4” dia chalice with ivory connector between the bowl and the cone shaped base which has sheaf of wheat decoration. Bottom marked “800”. 4) 9-1/2” covered chalice in velvet lined case with inscription and dated “8-22-76”. 5) 8” chalice decorated with cross and decorative stem inscribed. Housed in a velvet lined box. 6) 8-1/2” h fancy chalice with fish decorated stem and inscription dated “Jan 24, 1983”. Housed in a velvet lined box. TOTAL WEIGHT: 41 tr. oz.
