*SCARCE WINCHESTER M1-D GARAND SNIPER RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. SN 1607128. Standard Garand with 24” bbl, winged front sight & battle adjustable rear sight. It has the barrel mount for scope base containing an M84 scope SN 7033. Mounted in matching oil finished stock & hand guards with a lace-on leather cheekpiece dated “11-62” and a canvas sling. Stock has two “P” proofs, otherwise is unmarked. Bbl is by Springfield, dated “8-52”. Trigger group is mixed Winchester & Springfield parts. It has a clamp-on sheet metal flash hider. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Metal retains most of its gray/green restored parkerized finish & scope most of its orig blue with crisp optics. Side adjustment cover of scope has a bent hinge, otherwise is fine. Wood is sound and retains most of its fine oil finish. Mechanics are crisp, bright shiny bore. 4-60678 JR661 (3,500-5,000)
