VACLAW BERNARD SZCZEVLEWSKI (Polish, 1888) THE WHISTLER. Bronze figure of a young boy whistling with hands in his pockets. He stands barefoot wearing a peasant type shirt with shirt underneath which is loosely tucked into his worn and torn pants which are rolled up and tied at the waist by a piece of rope and appears to have patches on the back side. He wears a cap with ball atop. Boy stands on a round base which is signed “V Szczeblewski” and dated “1889”. Based marked “14.M Tiffany & Co.”. SIZE: 16-1/2” overall.
