CENTENNIAL CHINESE CHIPPENDALE CARVED FIRE SCREEN. The rectangular pierce carved Rococo frame depicting scrolling leaf tips and flower heads with pagoda form cresting centering a tapestry depicting a fanciful bird and a landscape, the whole raised on leaf tip carved molded scrolling out swept legs with carved volutes. PROVENANCE: Fine private Long Island, New York mansion. SIZE: 46-1/2” h x 40-1/4” overall w x 18” d. CONDITION: Very good condition overall with original surface and old patina, repairs to outer frame at legs, repairs to upper right corner facing, in frame.
