OUTSTANDING BOULLE MARQUETRY ORMOLU MOUNTED SHELF CLOCK WITH SHELF SIGNED THURET, PARIS. Brass movement having chime unmarked but numbered “1841 10 6”. Dial in brass with inset enamel black on white numbers. Case having brass inlays on tortoise shell style background with four semi-nude women bronze feet and central cherub mount. Other ormolu/bronze mounts throughout. Sunburst and woman’s profile decorative pendulum is present, no key. Removable top dome having similar boulle work with a top putti with lyre mount. Clock comes with a matching four arm shelf with exquisite mounts of female faces and boulle marquetry work. SIZE: 36” h x 17-1/2” at widest x 8” d. Shelf is 14” h x 21” w x 9-1/2” d.
