UNIDENTIFIED FLINTLOCK MARTIAL PISTOL. NSN. 72 Cal. 9” rnd bbl. No markings of any kind. The brass fittings appear to be British but the styling of the lockplate and stock without tailpipe indicates possible Colonial assembly. A very large rear lockplate screw has been installed probably to adapt this lock to this stock. CONDITION: Moderate to heavy pitting overall. Chips out of the stock, around the lock and at the rear triggerguard end which has been broken and filled with a braze. Stock has been repaired and refinished. 4-59170 FS623 (2,250-3,500)
