RARE LARGE EARLY FOLKY HOLLOW GOOSE DECOY. This wonderful 19th Century carved goose decoy with very folky, hollow fat body features a removable head; it dates to the third quarter of the 19th Century. SIZE: Approx. 20″ long. CONDITION: Old, old repaint. Small amount of deterioration at the tail and some old repairs with the neck. The peg onto which the head mounts is a later replacement (but of course not obvious since the head covers it). Terrific folk art form. 4-53627 (1,250-1,750)
