CHIPPENDALE CHERRY AND CURLY MAPLE SLANT LID DESK. Hinged slant front lid opens to reveal a nice valence and scallop carved interior with five drawers and seven cubbyholes. Case having four long graduated drawers with large brass willow pulls. Desk raised on original molded and carved bracket base. Circa 1770’s-1790. SIZE: 41” h x 36-1/4” w x 20” d; 30” writing height. CONDITION: Replaced antique hardware, refinished, some sold repair. Generally very good. 9-73626 (2,500-3,500)
