WINCHESTER HOTCHKISS FIRST MODEL NAVY RIFLE. SN 1450. Cal. 45/70. 29” rnd bbl. Marked with standard 3-line marking on left side of receiver. “anchor / US / anchor / V / P / eagle head” on bbl. “H.N.” inspector mark on bolt handle. No cartouche is visible on stock. 1,474 of these were made. CONDITION: Blue/brown patina overall with scattered light surface rust and pitting. Usual cracks are on left side of stock at the disconnect switch. There are also minor chips missing at the butt. Mechanically needs work. Magazine appears to be jammed.
