IMPORTANT PAIR OF HAND-PAINTED DECORATED SARREGUEMINES FLOOR VASES (FRANCE, Late 19th Century). Applied with handles ending in lion mask terminals. Each with a painted panel depicting the role of a domestic. The reverse painted with a pastoral scene of the estate. Both within a gold frame of jeweled swags and raised gilt vinery, the cylindrical body with a vivid indigo ground. Signed, “P. Amaury”. The collar and base in gold gilt and chocolate brown ground. With an incised underglaze mark, “Sarreguemine” above the numerals “332 over an incised “T”. SIZE: 21-1/2” h.
