SPRINGFIELD/REMINGTON MODEL 1870 NAVY RIFLE. NSN. Cal. 50. 32-1/2” rnd bbl. Marked with eagle over “USN / SPRINGFIELD / 1870” on right side of receiver, an anchor on top of bbl, and “P / H.B.R” individually stamped on left side of bbl. Number “22” is stamped on left side of stock. CONDITION: Most of a dull reblue remains on action, including hammers. Bbl, bands, and buttplate have a gray patina mixed with light surface rust and pitting. Stock has cracks at wrist and buttplate. Wood has been refinished. Mechanically good.
